About?

From Brazil, I discovered my passion for music at the age of 12, and by 17, I was sharing that love by teaching friends and peers.

In 2016, I moved to Canada to deepen my musical journey, studying Contemporary Music at Selkirk College and the Victoria Conservatory of Music. After teaching at the Conservatory and spending several wonderful years deeply immersed in the West Coast music scene, co founding projects, playing festivals, and performing with various original bands.

I’ve recently made the move to Creston and am excited to call the Kootenays home again!

Out of a passion for sharing music, I founded my teaching practice: José Vieira School of Sound.

I am currently welcoming new students of all ages and levels in Creston who want to explore music with curiosity, creativity, and solid fundamentals. Whether you're looking to pick up an instrument for the first time, refine your skills, or explore music theory and performance, lessons are tailored to your personal goals.

Instrument I offer teaching:

  • Acoustic/Electric Guitar
